Our Mission
Child Sexual Abuse Is a Widespread Problem
One in 9 girls and 1 in 20 boys under the age of 18 experience sexual abuse or assault. 82% of all victims under 18 are female. Females ages 16-19 are 4 times more likely than the general population to be victims of rape, attempted rape, or sexual assault.*

Out of every 1,000 sexual assaults, 310 are reported to the police.
That means 70% of sexual assaults are going UNREPORTED.*

A sponsorship or donation to Break The Silence is an investment into the protection of our precious children.

The cycle of sexual abuse and violence impacting our children can be broken.
Victims need more than education and words. They need resources, support, and action, and they need it now.

Our mission is a simple one:
Provide child victims the ability to break their silence and get them the resources they need to heal and be safe.

Our Story
The Break The Silence movement was borne out of the experiences of the front line super heroes helping the children of our communities on a daily basis, as well as those who have experienced sexual violence and been silent. We decided, no more.
